Central Bank economist to conduct Paddy Ryan memorial lecture in GMIT

It has been announced that Mr Lars Frisell, director of economics at the Central Bank of Ireland, will be the guest speaker at the upcoming Paddy Ryan Memorial Lecture in GMIT. The special lecture, which will be held on Tuesday December 11 in Theatre 1000, will recognise Paddy Ryan’s role as former mayor and alderman of Galway City, and honorary memory of the Galway Chamber. As part of the Amicable Society he welcomed President John Fitzgerald Kennedy to Galway during his tenure.

NUI Galway Lecturer in Geography, Dr John Morrissey, is among fifteen higher education staff representing six different institutions recognised as exemplifying excellence in teaching at the annual National Academy for the Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning (NAIRTL) awards.
